The Taste of a Place -

Andalucia

Vicky Bennison

Review

This is a really great book, an introduction to Andalucian cuisine, a where to eat, where to buy, a translation and an explanation all in one - and it’ s a joy to read.

Classic recipes such as Green Gazpacho, Braised Chorizo in Red Wine and Orange Salad spring out between the stacks of gorgeous photographs.

It’s a timeless read, sparky and light-hearted, a must before you head off to Andalucia and a welcome trusty companion it will be while you’re there.

I’m impressed, it may not be a read from cover to cover book but it is one you’ll dip into and keep coming back for more.

If you don’t know your bonito from your besugo you’ll find out here or were you wondering what the difference between tocino and pancetta was? Well no more – this book is one for every Spanish aficionado – reader, eater or cook!
