Mojácar Parador

Andalucia-for-Holidays is a work in progress -
please come back later for more!

Paradors of Almeria

Mojácar

The new low-lying white 4* Parador de Mojácar lies on the beach-front facing the blue Mediterranean Sea. This in the corner of Andalucia with the best micro-climate and most sunny days a year.

The parador is actually in Playa de Mojácar with its long sandy beaches, winter sunshine. The hotel offers fine sea views from the front and hilly inland views from behind. Mojacar has plenty to boast about for an activity holiday or just a complete chill-out.

Mojacar Parador Pool & Sea The hotel is quite spread out due to the planning laws only allowing two-storey buildings, but it's still a stylish modern hotel with Moorish touches, lovely pool and delightful gardens.

The Parador Restaurant is stylish, not cheap but serves good quality local dishes such as arroz a la garrucha, ajo colorao and pastel de vera.

What to visit around Mojácar

Typical Spanish Restaurant, Mojacar

Just 3km inland is the very pretty, typical white-washed hillside town of Mojácar, not to be missed for ceramic shops and those wonderful Lladro porcelain figurines.

Apart from the obvious swimming, diving and 5 km of virgin beaches, Mojácar has a natural reserve, some excellent potholing caves and the taberna desert with theme park film studios to visit.

Many of the 1960’s spaghetti westerns were filmed here, and still today a fair amount of action takes place. You can watch a gun fight at the local saloon, or see one of the Indian’s wigwam settlements.
