Climbing in Granada

Climbing in Granada - Alfacar

Containing the mountain range of Sierra Nevada, Granada province has plenty of varied climbing on offer. One of the popular spots is the limestone rock which provides a stunning backdrop to the town of Alfacar.

With several different sections and many bolted routes this is a great spot for a days climbing. We went at the end of December, but with the weak sun on the rock face the bitter cold didn´t seep in until sundown.

The quiet un-commercialised town below is worthy of a wander for the non-climbers of the party. That was me.
