Andalucia or Castille?

by Mary
(Kansas, USA)

Saint Fernando III

Saint Fernando III

James Fitzhenry is a dear friend of ours who has written a phenomenal story of El Cid, God's Own Champion. The story is a fast action history of El Cid's ventures and conquests. It also describes the striking details of the Andalucia and Castille areas in Spain. Your site is so great for pictures of these areas!

Our children really loved the book and will be so excited to see these pictures since they are of the areas that El Cid traveled. He has written a new book too, on Saint Fernando III, that we are really looking forward to reading as his first book was so exciting.

I've marked your site in our favorites list to be sure to share it with our friends and relatives. Thanks for posting the excellent pictures of these castles and monasteries.

Saint Fernando III and El Cid
by: Mary

You are so welcome! I have forwarded your message to him. You will find that he and his family are very nice. We really enjoyed his book on El Cid and look forward to his Saint Fernando III which is brand new. As far as I know both books are written based on authentic source documents with the advice of a Catholic priest native to Spain. This adds so much to the flavor of a book!

Hi Mary,

Thanks for that, I'll certainly look out for these books to add to my review section and learn some more about the history of my adopted country - Spain.
