Walking Tour Holidays
Hike in the Hills around Torrox

The area of Axarquia in Southern Spain is well-known for its Walking Tour Holidays, beauty and abundance of wild flowers.
The lush green hills and valleys offer fantastic hiking country and that's just what British couple David and Gill offer - guided or self-guided walks in the area they have come to know and love.

They lead small groups of walkers from families and groups to solo travellers around there beautiful adopted land. They also provide accommodation and walking routes for those who would rather go on a self-guided hike.
The 5 or 8 day holidays are based in the delightful town of Torrox, inland from Malaga. Accommodation is in a lovely self-catering house in Torrox, where guest are picked up each day and transported by car or 4x4 when necessary to the starting point of that days walk.

Each walk starts within a one hour drive from the village and the daily walks are around 5 or 6 hours at a steady Andalucian pace.
This is an area surrounded by two mountains ranges - the Sierra Tejeda and Sierra Almijara, so there is some hill walking as well as valleys, so sturdy boots and sticks are recommended
Two guides accompany each walking party so there is no problem if you want to be the tortoise or the hare.
Each walking holiday includes a breakfast pack, accommodation, picnic lunch and evening meals on walking days - no meals are provided on the rest day.
