Vuelta a España
Andalucia 2009

The 64th Cycle Tour of Spain 2009 Drenthe –Holland to Madrid - Spain
August 29th to September 20th 2009

The 2009 Vuelta a Espana route has announced that the first four stages will take place in the Netherlands before going down the east coast of Spain through some of the mountainous regions such as the Sierra-Nevada in Granada province, Andalucia.

There are six mountain stages which is less than the two previous races.

The bold print stages are the Vuelta a España Andalucia legs.

Assen - Assen (ITT - 4,5 km) – Saturday 29th August 2009

Assen - Emmen (202 km)

Zutphen - Venlo (185 km)

Venlo - Lieja (224 km)

Tarragona - Vinaroz (174 km)

Xativa - Xativa (186 km)

Valencia - Valencia (ITT - 30 km)

Alicante - Murcia (162 km)

Murcia - Caravaca de la Cruz (191 km)

Almeria - Alto de Velefique (174 km) - Friday 11th September

Berja - Alto de Sierra Nevada (175 km) – Saturday 12th September

Granada - La Pandera (157 km) – Sunday 13th Spetember

Jaén - Córdoba (168 km) - Monday 14th September

Córdoba - Puertollano (170 km) – Tuesday 15th September

Ciudad Real - Talavera de la Reina (175 km)

Talavera de la Reina - Avila (187 km)

Avila - La Granja. Real Fábrica de Cristales (174 km)

Toledo - Toledo (ITT - 26 km)

Rivas - Madrid (110 km) – Sunday 29th September
