Monasteries to Stay inAndaluciaMonasterio Purísima Concepción This Monastery in the heart of Andújar is inhabited by Trinitarian Nuns and has been almost continually since it was founded in 1587. During the Civil War (1936) the Nuns were forced to leave it. The Nuns do charitable works and prison visits, the speciality product of this institution is their gold-thread embroidery. The accommodation on offer is for both men and women, one double room, one 4/6 bed room and two 8 bed rooms with shared bathrooms. Towels and linen are supplied and a small living room and kitchen are available but meals are not supplied.
