Golf Huelva
With the Huelva region bordering Portugal and the Algarve, it is no surprise that is becoming a hotbed for new golf courses.
Four of the five courses in Huelva sit on the coast to the west of the city of Huelva with the other course being an inland nine-hole facility situated in the mountains to the north of Nerva. The course, opened in 1982, offers spectacular views towards the coast.
Of the four coastal courses, the Islantilla Golf Resort is the most westerly and is arguably the pick of the bunch. Home to the Turespaña Masters in 1995, just three years after the doors were opened, the course takes its name from the fact is lies in between Isla Christina and La Antilla and has its own yacht marina.
There are 27 holes available to play and the parkland course boasts wide fairways and large greens.
A short drive easy of Islantilla Golf Resort is the Isla Canera Golf. Upgraded to an 18-hole course in 1996 having first opened as a nine-hole course, Isla Canera provides a pleasant challenge as it winds through lakes and streams.

Bellavista Golf is close to the city of Huelva and offers two completely different tests on each nine holes of the course. The opening nine holes built in 1976 are tricky, being laid out through pine trees, while the second nine – added in 1995 – are much easier with a more friendly layout.
Golf Nuevo Portil is located on the beach to the east of Huelva and is the newest of the courses in the region having opened at the end 2001. The 18-hole course is a fair challenge for golfers of all abilities.
