Golf Almeria

The three courses around the city of Almeria include Almerimar Golf, a course designed by legendary South African golfer Gary Player and situated in a popular tourist area.

Almeria is fast becoming a favoured destination for golfers on golfing holidays or breaks with seven courses to choose from in the region, three of which are situated in the city of Almeria and the other four in the north of the region close to Mojacar.

Almerimar sits in the urbanisation of the same name and has a sensational signature hole, the par-3 12th which has a green in the middle of water. Also within the city are Playa Serena Golf, a mature beachside course mapped out through palm trees, and La Envia Golf Course, a shorter course and therefore suitable for golfers of all abilities.

The pick of the four courses in northern Almeria is the Desert Springs Golf Course, a sensational course and the first desert-like course built to USGA standards in Europe.

Cacti, rocks, dry rivers all form part of the course. The Valle del Este Golf Resort is another desert-like course close to the city of Vera and provides a similar challenge to that posed by Desert Springs, while Marina Golf near Mojacar offers views of the Mediterranean and is a more traditional course suitable for all standards of golfer. The Cortijo Grande Golf near Turre offers a nine-hole course.
